After 5 years on Baqua I was tired of the constant water changes, bad odor and various other issues. I decided to try Silk Balance. The product does what it is advertised to do. My alkalinity and Ph stayed perfectly balanced and all I have to do is add enhanced shock once or twice per week (depending on use). Even after 5 months, the water is still perfect. Since we live in Michigan, it is very important to make it through the Winter without needing to change the water (really difficult when its below freezing), so I look forward to not having to live with marginal water until a “warm (above 32F)” weekend can be found.
