I’ve had a Hot Springs Vanguard spa for 11 years and have used several different conditioning systems. I switched to Silk Balance about a month ago and like it very much. The water has stayed clearer than my former system, and has not developed any funny smells that were an issue with the other product. I also like the fact that it uses a small amount of chlorine once a week as a sanitizer — I think that contributes to the clean smell of the water. I also like the fact that I did not have to add any calcium hardness increaser upon startup and the fact that the total volume of chemicals added every week is considerably lower.
